So here they are – the words we hoped we’d never have to say …Looby Loo’s Boutique is closing down.

This has been a really difficult decision for us, but unfortunately the poor economic climate has us beat!

To know that something you cherish so much and have put so much of your heart and soul in to isn’t going to be around anymore, has been difficult to get to grips with.  However, we feel happy that Looby Loo’s has been a success, and that our vision to provide Cardiff with a unique and alternative shopping experience, away from the High street, has been achieved.

Of course none of this would have been possible without our lovely customers, friends and family. The amount of encouragement and support we’ve received since our opening two years ago has been overwhelming. We really are very grateful to everyone who has ever bought something, thought about buying something, or  just called  in for a browse or a chat. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Running Looby Loo’s has been the most rewarding experience and through it, we’ve met the most amazing and interesting people who have enriched our lives. And being part of the community within Cardiff’s wonderful Arcades has been fantastic.

We really are going to miss it all.

So in true closing down style, we will of course be having a closing down sale. That means at least 50% off everything in store as of today (Monday 5th September) So get your butts down here and grab a bargain before we’re gone!

Horrockses Fashions were one of the most coveted labels of the 1940s and 1950s, sought after by women everywhere. Their dresses were even worn by the Queen!

Their designs were relatively expensive for the time, but they always oozed sophistication and elegance. Working women often saved up for months at a time to buy one.

We are bored to death of the high street chains and their constant sameness. We’ve taken it upon ourselves to seek out some of the best independent shops/boutiques/cafés in the UK.

We’ll be posting photos of the coolest places we come across on our travels, so keep your eyes peeled!
